Cloud System Administrator II
About the role
Kavaliro is seeking a Cloud System Administrator II to support a client in Fort Meade, MD. We are seeking a Cloud / Systems Engineer to support mission-critical systems. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code, cloud platforms, and Linux-based environments, and has previously supported or worked within a ServPro team. This role focuses on building, maintaining, and optimizing secure cloud and infrastructure solutions in a classified environment.
Responsibilities
- Support and maintain AWS-based cloud infrastructure and services
- Administer and troubleshoot Linux systems across development and production environments
- Collaborate with teams to support service delivery, sustainment, and operational requirements
- Ensure systems meet security, compliance, and mission requirements
- Participate in system upgrades, patching, and continuous improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph (must be current)
- 14+ years of experience within a systems administration role
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, mission-focused environment
Desired Qualifications
- Experience supporting IC or DoD environments
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools
- Strong documentation and communication skills
Location
Fort Meade, MD — This position is onsite and there is no remote availability.
Clearance Requirement
Candidates must have an active TS/SCI security clearance with a Full Scope Polygraph. Applicant MUST hold a permanent U.S. citizenship for this position in accordance with government contract requirements.
