Cloud Software Engineer with Security Clearance

About the role

Visionist is seeking a Cloud Software Engineer with a top secret (TS/SCI) clearance and polygraph. This role involves developing a robust web application using Kotlin and React, supporting a critical mission system, and working in a full stack environment.

Responsibilities

• Leverage Kotlin and React to develop a robust web application
• Serve as a key member of a mission-critical system with hundreds of active users
• Work in a full stack environment
• Support the rapid development and deployment of patches and updates to an existing system in a dynamic role

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field (or equivalent experience)
• 6 years of experience in software development
• Willingly obtain one of the following certifications (Visionist will cover exam and study time if selected): * AWS Certified Developer --- Associate * AWS Certified Machine Learning --- Associate * AWS Certified Machine Learning --- Specialty * AWS DevOps Engineer Professional * Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)
• Experience with Kotlin, Java, and Object-Oriented Programming
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases (Mongo, SQL)
• Experience with React and Redux
• Experience with Apache Flink
• Familiarity with agency data flow formats and standards
• Interest in working on an agile team that communicates regularly with analysts and willingness to take on tasks, from requirements gathering and design, to deployment
