Cloud Security Engineer

About the role

This position supports the Data Loss Prevention (DLP) team with a new Palo Alto DLP solution. The role involves completing the onboarding process for new servers and applications, analyzing Palo Alto Next-generation security and decryption policies to determine coverage needs, processing all related ServiceNow tasks for server and application onboarding, engaging and working with the firewalls operation team to create firewall rule requests based on ServiceNow tasks, and acknowledging task closure upon completion.

Responsibilities

• Support the DLP team with the new Palo Alto DLP solution.
• Complete the onboarding process for new servers and applications.
• Analyze Palo Alto Next-generation security and decryption policies to confirm if coverage is needed.
• Process all ServiceNow tasks for server and application onboarding.
• Engage and work with the firewalls operation team to create firewall rule requests based on ServiceNow tasks.
• Acknowledge closure of tasks upon completion.

Requirements

• Education: A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in creating Palo Alto firewall policies. Proven knowledge of how SSL decryption works and how to create these types of policies within the Palo Alto solution. Proficiency in ServiceNow is required.
• Other Skills: Good organizational skills are necessary for this role.
