You'll build incident.io's security function from the ground up, creating a product secure enough to support some of the best engineering teams in the world when things are going wrong.
Responsibilities
- Build a new security team from scratch, focusing primarily on cloud security.
- Define security processes from first principles in a greenfield environment.
- Enjoy real autonomy and move quickly without heavy approval chains.
- Enable the business to move fast by saying yes where possible while retaining authority to block releases when necessary.
- Leverage an unlimited Claude token budget for work, review, testing, threat modelling.
- Secure AI features and AI‑driven workflows being shipped into the product.
Qualifications
You are a generalist with a strong grounding in security and real depth in cloud security specifically. You communicate well and can deliver hard feedback that engineers appreciate. You have grit, are comfortable building a function from close to scratch, and are not deterred by hard days, scary production finds, or missing processes. You live and breathe security—this isn’t just a day job for you, it’s something you genuinely geek out on.

Compensation Range: $250K - $300K
