Cloud Security Architect

About the role

Location: New York, NY (Onsite). Candidates must be willing to attend the interview in person.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement secure enterprise‑grade, multi‑cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure (GCP is a plus), ensuring alignment with benchmark and corporate security policies.
• Adopt complex hybrid connectivity solutions to link on‑premises and cloud‑based test systems.
• Establish scalable IAM hierarchies across trust relationships and organizational units spanning multiple cloud tenants.
• Design high‑level disaster‑recovery topologies across disparate cloud providers to eliminate single points of failure.
• Develop, document, test, and automate failover mechanisms for critical enterprise workloads to achieve zero‑downtime objectives.
• Define, build, and maintain the Infrastructure‑as‑Code (IaC) repository using automation platforms.
• Implement secure CI/CD deployment pipelines.
• Serve as the primary subject‑matter expert on cloud infrastructure for the core cybersecurity team, translating security objectives into concrete cloud configurations.
• Collaborate with on‑premises network and systems administration teams to migrate or extend legacy workloads to the cloud without disrupting active operations.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of AWS and Microsoft Azure (GCP experience is a plus).
• Proficiency in Python and scripting for automation.
• Experience with hybrid connectivity and networking across on‑premises and cloud environments.
• Expertise in designing scalable IAM hierarchies and managing multi‑tenant cloud security.
• Deep understanding of disaster‑recovery architecture and zero‑downtime strategies.
• Hands‑on experience with Infrastructure‑as‑Code tools and automation platforms.
• Ability to build and secure CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong collaboration and technical advisory skills, especially with cybersecurity and traditional IT teams.
