About the Role
We're partnering with the world's leading AI research teams to build smarter, safer AI systems — and we need cloud security practitioners who understand how cloud environments actually fail. This is your opportunity to put your real‑world experience to work on something that matters: shaping how frontier AI understands cloud security risks, misconfigurations, and incident patterns across AWS, GCP, and Azure.
Responsibilities
- Analyze cloud security scenarios across AWS, GCP, and Azure to identify risks, vulnerabilities, and failure patterns.
- Review and evaluate IAM, networking, storage, and container security issues in realistic cloud environments.
- Classify security gaps and misconfigurations based on real‑world impact and blast radius.
- Validate and improve AI‑generated security reasoning so it accurately reflects how cloud incidents unfold in practice.
- Provide structured, expert feedback that directly improves the quality of AI security systems.
Requirements
- 2+ years of hands‑on experience working with cloud environments in production.
- Solid understanding of cloud IAM, networking, storage, and container security concepts.
- Familiarity with real‑world misconfigurations, security incidents, and their downstream effects.
- Able to clearly reason about blast radius, risk exposure, and business impact.
- Self‑motivated and comfortable working independently on async, task‑based assignments.
Nice to Have
- Experience with cloud security tooling (e.g., AWS Security Hub, GCP Security Command Center, Azure Defender).
- Background in penetration testing, red teaming, or cloud incident response.
- Familiarity with frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK for Cloud or CIS Benchmarks.
- Certifications such as AWS Security Specialty, CCSP, or similar.
Benefits
- Work directly on frontier AI systems with top research labs.
- Fully remote and flexible — work on your own schedule.
- Freelance perks: autonomy, variety, and global collaboration.
- Contribute to AI that is more accurate and trustworthy in one of the most critical domains in tech.
- Potential for ongoing work and contract extension.
