Cloud/SecDevOps Engineer
About the role
As the largest provider of US government IT services, Leidos develops and sustains large data and technology infrastructures and integrates complex law enforcement IT systems for a number of US federal agencies. This role serves a federal law enforcement agency in Clarksburg, WV.
Primary Responsibilities
- Maintain and monitor operational and development systems.
- Investigate and resolve system user issues related to security architecture and engineering.
- Ensure integrated security concepts, controls, and mechanisms are deployed into the design and architecture phases.
- Leverage knowledge of deployed Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to configure necessary components and software using IaC utilities.
- Deploy patches and assist with the engineering, implementation, integration, maintenance, and improvement of systems.
- Support users and administer IaC security.
- Track and plan technical Agile work.
- Develop and maintain automated processes for testing, deployment, and security.
- Create and maintain automated Image Pipelines for ensuring AMIs are patched, hardened, and updated without manual intervention.
- Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks and roles to automate the configuration of secure, STIG-compliant operating systems.
- Understand and troubleshoot Citrix infrastructure components and issues related to VDA registration, session latency, and display protocol on cloud-hosted instances.
- Collaborate with development, operations, and other teams for effective communication and problem-solving.
- Identify and fix issues in production and monitor system performance.
- Launch product updates and create integrations to improve the user experience.
- Incorporate cybersecurity best practices into processes.
Preferred Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Information Systems Management, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- Cyber Security and IaC certifications may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- 2-4 years of relevant experience.
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently to develop creative solutions.
- Strong communication skills.
- US Citizenship.
- DOD Top Secret Clearance is required.

Basic Qualifications

- US Citizenship.
- DOD Top Secret Clearance is required.
Pay Range
$69,550.00 - $125,725.00
