Cloud Platform Engineer
About the role
Accenture Federal Services is seeking an Azure Cloud Engineer to manage IaaS/PaaS environments running Windows Server and RHEL systems, supporting a dynamic and engaging mission.
Responsibilities
- Manage Azure cloud platforms from both an engineering and operations perspective using DevSecOps methodologies
- Design, deploy, and support Azure cloud native components such as availability zones, storage, serverless, network security groups, load balancers, containerization, system administration, backups, patching, etc.
- Manage and monitor identity, governance, storage, computer and virtual networks within the Azure cloud platform
- Support Azure Monitor and log analytics for proactive monitoring and logging of Azure resources and services along with alerting, reporting, and dashboarding
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize cloud solutions and services in our Azure environments
- Work independently on assigned tasks but also work well in a cross-team environment
- Involvement in workstreams where you are an active contributor and can speak to the progress and results of assigned tasks
- Work both engineering stories from an agile board and operational tasks from a ticketing queue
Requirements
- 2 years of experience in Azure Cloud IaaS and PaaS design, deploy, and support
- 2 years of experience in Windows Server administration (Server 2019, 2022 preferred)
- 2 years of hands-on experience operating an Azure environment (ex: Logging, Monitoring, Alerting, Patching, Backups, Site Recovery)
- 1 year of experience with Azure RBAC and/or Access Management
- Possess a DoD 8140/8570 Certification
Bonus points
- Azure Administrator and/or Architecture Certification
- Experience migrating on-prem systems to the cloud
- Experience with Azure Backup and Azure Site Recovery
- Experience with Azure Network, Compute and Storage systems
- Experience with Azure Automation
- Experience with Infra as Code (IaC) - (ARM, Bicep, Terraform preferred)
- Experience with Windows Server configuration management, performance testing, capacity management, system monitoring and alerting, update management and cost management
- Experience implementing STIGs

- Ability to be on call as needed

As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. Pay
The pay range for the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland is: $86,400 - $176,200 USD
