Cloud Operations Engineer with Security Clearance

Job Purpose

The Cloud Operations Engineer at Knight Federal Solutions Inc will be responsible for managing and optimizing cloud infrastructure to ensure seamless operations and security. This role requires a TS SCI Clearance and involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance system performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud-based infrastructure solutions to support business operations.
• Monitor cloud systems to ensure optimal performance and availability.
• Collaborate with IT and security teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to cloud operations.
• Implement automation strategies to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
• Provide technical guidance and support to internal teams and stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain documentation related to cloud operations and procedures.
• Stay updated with the latest cloud technologies and trends to drive innovation within the organization.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Required Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in cloud operations or a similar role. Proven experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. Experience in managing and automating cloud infrastructure using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation. Demonstrated experience in monitoring and optimizing cloud performance and costs. Experience in implementing and managing security measures in cloud environments.

Required Skills and Abilities

• TS SCI Clearance.
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture and services.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex cloud issues.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Able to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with other departments.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
