About the role

Over the last eight years, OpenEye, Cadence Molecular Sciences has developed the field's most advanced large-scale compute platform, Orion, built on Amazon Web Services. In this position, you will be working at the cutting edge of cloud computing, C++/Python development, and advanced MD simulation techniques. Your work will have the potential to make a major impact in drug discovery, and will be available to many pharmaceutical and biotech companies. Join our growing Cloud team responsible for deployment and management of our cloud-native SaaS platform for computer-aided drug design, Orion.

Responsibilities

  • Managing individual installations of Orion
  • Assisting internal developers with AWS issues
  • Handling service desk requests
  • Participating in a rotating on-call schedule, serving as the primary point of contact for service desk requests by triaging, resolving, or escalating issues within established service levels
  • Collaborating with backend, infrastructure, frontend, and scientific support teams
  • Interacting with Fortune 500 companies leveraging Orion for their scientific needs to create an outstanding support experience

Qualifications

  • 1+ year of relevant experience
  • Proactive, go-getter mentality and a positive attitude
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving capacity
  • Customer service skills
  • Familiarity with scripting (Bash)
  • Experience with Linux system administration

Preferred skills

  • Experience with Amazon Web Services
  • Experience with CI/CD frameworks
  • Familiarity with programming languages (Python)
