Cloud Integration Engineer
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required and must be obtained within a reasonable time after hire. U.S. citizenship is required due to the nature of work performed within our facilities.
About the Role
We are seeking a Cloud Integrator with hands-on AWS experience to join our team. This mid-level position is responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure and integration solutions across complex multi-platform systems. The ideal candidate combines strong AWS cloud expertise with practical knowledge of Kubernetes, DevOps practices, and systems integration to deliver reliable, scalable environments.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure including EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, and EKS
- Integrate software components and subsystems across cloud, Windows, and Linux operating environments
- Build and manage containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes, with emphasis on AWS EKS
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment workflows
- Develop scripting and automation solutions to support cloud provisioning, integration, and DevOps workflows
- Perform black box and grey box testing to validate system functionality and identify defects
- Monitor cloud resources for performance, availability, and cost optimization
- Configure and manage AWS networking components including VPCs, subnets, security groups, load balancers, and route tables
- Write and maintain technical documentation including architecture diagrams, integration guides, and system configuration records
- Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot integration issues and verify system requirements
- Participate in configuration management and version control practices
- Support cybersecurity compliance efforts including IAM policy management, encryption, and secure cloud configurations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience working with AWS cloud services in a professional environment
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible to obtain a Secret security clearance
- Demonstrated experience with core AWS services (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, Terraform)
- Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines (Git, Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, or similar)
- Proficiency in one or more scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell, etc.)
- Experience with both Windows and Linux system administration
- Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls, VPNs)
- Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS certification (Cloud Practitioner, Solutions Architect Associate, SysOps Administrator, or similar)
- Experience with AWS EKS, ECS, or Fargate for container orchestration
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (CloudFormation, Terraform, AWS CDK)
- Familiarity with AWS monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch, CloudTrail, AWS Config)
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, or similar)
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices
- Experience writing database queries (SQL)
- Awareness of cost management and optimization strategies in AWS
- Familiarity with DoD or government cloud environments (AWS GovCloud)
- Coursework, certifications, or project experience in cloud architecture or systems integration

Pay
Target salary range: USD $90,833.00/Yr. - USD $100,767.00/Yr.

This position is onsite or flex while working at the Groton, CT facility.
