Cloud Infrastructure Engineer
About the role
We are seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and maintain our AWS infrastructure. This role involves developing and supporting secure CI/CD pipelines, implementing robust cloud architecture patterns, and ensuring platform standardization. The ideal candidate will collaborate with application teams, monitor cloud resources, and drive security and compliance across multiple environments.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain AWS infrastructure using Terraform (IaC).
- Develop and support secure CI/CD pipelines with validation, scanning, and approval gates.
- Implement cloud architecture patterns including high availability, failover, and multi-region designs.
- Support platform standardization and governance, ensuring auditability and repeatable deployments.
- Collaborate with application teams to onboard and migrate workloads to cloud infrastructure.
- Monitor and optimize cloud resources for performance, cost, and reliability.
- Implement and support security controls, including vulnerability remediation and compliance requirements.
- Troubleshoot platform and deployment issues across development, SIT, and production environments.
- Maintain documentation, runbooks, and deployment standards to support consistent execution.
- Participate in release activities and ensure safe, controlled deployments.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, and 7–10 years of relevant experience in cloud, infrastructure, or DevOps engineering.
Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS services (e.g., VPC, EC2, ECS/EKS, IAM, Route 53, S3, RDS, CloudWatch).
- Proven experience with Terraform, including module development, state management, and debugging.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, cloud security practices, Infrastructure as Code, and configuration management tools.
- Understanding of networking, load balancing, and application connectivity in AWS.
- Preferred experience with containerized platforms and image management (Docker, ECS/EKS), security scanning tools and vulnerability management processes, blue/green deployments, progressive routing, or traffic shifting strategies, and automation and scripting (Python, Bash).
