About the role
As a Cloud Infrastructure Architect, you will use enterprise cloud platforms to support clients in modernizing their IT infrastructure. You will collaborate with cloud architects and engineers specializing in AWS to design, define, develop, test, and debug cloud solution components. This role involves working within a DevOps framework to create and manage container applications and using products like Kubernetes. You will partner with stakeholders and your team to deliver technical solutions, whether modernizing legacy platforms or creating new ones.
Responsibilities
- Architect on-premises and cloud solutions for intelligence systems with IT infrastructure design and cloud computing.
- Design, develop, test, and debug cloud solution components for applications and solutions.
- Document systems in Visio and/or Cameo.
- Draft policy and guidance for cloud maintenance and sustainment.
- Communicate with end-users and engineers to ensure new models align with architectural standards.
- Modernize legacy computing platforms and applications or create new solutions.
- Manage container applications within a DevOps framework.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience architecting on-premises and cloud solutions for intelligence systems with IT infrastructure design and cloud computing.
- 3+ years of experience designing, developing, testing, and debugging cloud solution components for applications and solutions.
- Experience documenting systems in Visio and/or Cameo.
- Experience drafting policy and guidance for cloud maintenance and sustainment.
- Ability to communicate with end-users and engineers to ensure that new models are in-line with architectural standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification.
- AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification.
- AWS Associate level Certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting certain government clients.
- Experience transforming legacy weapon systems.
- Knowledge of specific Air Force distributed ground systems.
- AWS Cloud DevOps Certification.
