About the role
Own server power delivery for entire servers, demonstrating results in power distribution and voltage regulator (VR) design. Interact with an interdisciplinary engineering team to design, develop, validate, and launch power components at scale for Amazon Web Services servers. Provide leadership for power delivery architecture, owning Accelerator and Mainstream Compute server power delivery design, product operations, AFR, unsellables, and driving design quality. Define next-generation power architecture for Accelerator and Mainstream compute platforms.
Responsibilities
- Own server power delivery for entire servers
- Demonstrate results in power delivery for entire servers
- Develop deep understanding of voltage regulators (VRs) and server-level power distribution
- Interact with an interdisciplinary team of engineers to design, develop, validate, and launch power components used in servers
- Provide leadership for power delivery in servers to deliver and improve customer experience
- Own Accelerator and Mainstream Compute server power delivery design
- Own product operations, AFR, and unsellables
- Drive power design quality
- Drive next-generation Accelerator and Mainstream power architecture definition
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Power Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field, plus one year of experience in the job offered, as a Computer Engineer, Electrical Engineer, or related occupation
- OR Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Power Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field, plus five years of experience in the job offered, as a Computer Engineer, Electrical Engineer, or related occupation
Skills
Required skills (one year of experience in each):
- Server power system design
- Analog power electronics, power supply circuitry, and circuit protection
- Developing power component functional specifications, design verification plans, root cause analysis, and resolution
- Server power for cloud, enterprise, or other large-scale applications
- DC-DC switch mode power supplies, circuit protection, and multi-phase CPU/memory VRs on motherboards
- I2C, PMBUS, SVID, sensors, and monitoring
- PCB designs with Allegro, CAM350, or equivalent
Pay & schedule
40 hours/week, 8:00am – 5:00pm. Salary range: $183,000 – $247,600 per year.
