Cloud Engineering Full-Stack Developer

About the role
As a Cloud Engineering Full-Stack Developer on the JETSII Contract, you will support Luna system development with a focus on front-end tasks, user interface design, and user experience in coordination with project leadership. You will develop and update front-end code, participate in agile sprints, and contribute to the Luna and NMC codebases through DevSecOps processes. Additionally, you will design and develop enterprise-level cloud-centric products, maintain existing applications, and engage in requirements gathering and analysis.
Responsibilities
- Support Luna system development focused on front-end tasks, including UI design and user experience
- Develop and update current and new feature UI elements
- Write and test front-end code
- Participate in Luna agile sprint cadence, executing assigned development content
- Contribute to the Luna and NMC codebases through DevSecOps processes
- Recommend service and capability implementations to chief architects and engineers
- Support conversations with customers for new service development, service federation, and technical/process integration
- Design and develop enterprise-level cloud-centric products and solutions
- Maintain and support existing cloud-centric applications
- Participate in requirements gathering and analysis
- Develop solutions for all application tiers: user interface, business logic, database, workflows, and reporting
- Contribute to innovation and build proof-of-concept examples for current and future solutions
- Collaborate with other developers and analysts on the Cloud Engineering and Product Team
- Perform other duties as required
Requirements
- Typically requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification in a related area and 10 years of experience in the field or a related area
- Proficiency in writing clean, readable code and following best software development practices
- Experience implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests
- Solid understanding of object-oriented principles
- Proficiency in front-end technologies: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and modern frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue)
- Strong back-end development experience with Node.js, Python, Java, or .NET
- Experience designing and consuming RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs
- Solid understanding of database systems (SQL and NoSQL such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB)
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI)
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar
- Experience building and consuming Web Services, Web APIs, and REST APIs
- Understanding of cloud security best practices (IAM, encryption, secure APIs)
- Experience optimizing application performance and scalability
- Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch, Datadog, Prometheus)
- Experience implementing interactive and responsive web pages
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and work in a team environment or independently
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with serverless architectures
- Exposure to event-driven systems and messaging queues (Kafka, SQS)
- Knowledge of frontend performance optimization and accessibility standards
- Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Developer, Azure Developer Associate, Google Cloud Developer)
