Cloud Engineer, TS/SCI with Poly

Responsibilities

Provides IC data management support to modernize mega data repositories, dataflow management, data provenance and compliance validation, and streaming solutions.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field (e.g., Mathematics, Information Systems, Engineering). - Minimum of 8 years of experience in software development/engineering, including requirements analysis, development, integration, testing, and troubleshooting. - At least 6 years of experience developing in high-level languages such as Java, C, or C++. - At least 5 years of experience working in UNIX/Linux (RedHat-based) environments. - At least 3 years of experience in software integration and testing, including test plan and script development. - An active TS/SCI with Poly is required.

Qualifications

- Strong Java development experience, including distributed systems, networking, and multithreading - Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Ansible or Puppet - Experience with CI/CD pipelines, including automated testing, deployment, and monitoring - Experience working in Agile environments with modern source control practices - Strong Linux fundamentals and proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, Bash, Ruby, or Perl) - Familiarity with microservices architecture and container orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes) - Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker - Hadoop or Cloud Developer certification required - Willingness to participate in a rotating Tier III on-call schedule - Ability to support surge requirements during high-priority situations
