Cloud Engineer - TS/SCI w/ Poly

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy modular cloud-based systems
• Script using software languages such as Java and Python
• Identify, analyze, and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues
• Regularly review existing systems and make recommendations for improvements and cost efficiencies
• Develop and maintain cloud solutions in accordance with customer best practices and guidance
• Work with Agile Scrum based development teams
• Interact with clients, provide cloud support, and make recommendations based on customer needs
• Utilize DevOps tools, such as GitHub and Jenkins, to enable continuous integration and continuous delivery

Requirements

• 3+ years of related experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience
• AWS Certified SysOps Administrator or higher
• Experience with Amazon Web Services (S3, RDS, EC2, ECS, Lambda, SQS, SNS, CloudFormation, etc.)
• Experience with Docker, Ansible
• Strong understanding of web services, API, REST

Desired Skills

• Familiarity with Assessment & Authorization process and associated artifact collection
• Background utilizing Jira for documenting and tracking software development tasks
• Documented experience with open-source technology, software development, system engineering, and cybersecurity
• Exposure to Terraform or IaC tools

Pay

The likely salary range for this position is $110,500 - $149,500.

Schedule

• Contract core hours: 9am - 3pm
• Rotational on-call responsibility for team coverage
• Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40
• Work Location: Onsite in Herndon, VA
