Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy modular cloud-based systems
- Script using software languages such as Java and Python
- Identify, analyze, and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues
- Regularly review existing systems and make recommendations for improvements and cost efficiencies
- Develop and maintain cloud solutions in accordance with customer best practices and guidance
- Work with Agile Scrum based development teams
- Interact with clients, provide cloud support, and make recommendations based on customer needs
- Utilize DevOps tools, such as GitHub and Jenkins, to enable continuous integration and continuous delivery
Requirements
- 3+ years of related experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience
- AWS Certified SysOps Administrator or higher
- Experience with Amazon Web Services (S3, RDS, EC2, ECS, Lambda, SQS, SNS, CloudFormation, etc.)
- Experience with Docker, Ansible
- Strong understanding of web services, API, REST
Desired Skills
- Familiarity with Assessment & Authorization process and associated artifact collection
- Background utilizing Jira for documenting and tracking software development tasks
- Documented experience with open-source technology, software development, system engineering, and cybersecurity
- Exposure to Terraform or IaC tools

Pay
The likely salary range for this position is $110,500 - $149,500.
Schedule
- Contract core hours: 9am - 3pm
- Rotational on-call responsibility for team coverage
- Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40
- Work Location: Onsite in Herndon, VA
