The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of AWS services, strong DevOps fundamentals, and a pragmatic, cost-aware mindset. You will collaborate closely with application, security, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) teams to deliver resilient, scalable, and cloud-native solutions that support the company's growth and operational excellence.

- Minimum of 6 years of cloud engineering experience, with at least 3 years focused on AWS in production environments
- Hands-on experience with AWS core services such as EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFront, and CloudFormation
- Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation
- Experience designing and managing Amazon EKS or ECS clusters at scale
- Strong scripting skills in Python and Bash; familiarity with Go or PowerShell is a plus
- Deep understanding of cloud security, IAM policies, encryption, key management, and compliance standards

- Deploy and operate Amazon EKS clusters and container platforms such as ECS and Fargate, including auto-scaling, networking, and integration with service meshes and observability tools
- Manage AWS data and analytics services like RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, S3, Redshift, Glue, and Kinesis, optimizing performance and SLA adherence
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI to enable repeatable and auditable deployments
- Implement comprehensive observability solutions using CloudWatch, X-Ray, AWS Distro for OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, and other third-party tools, including dashboards and alerting systems
- Lead ongoing cost optimization efforts through right-sizing, savings plans, reserved instances, lifecycle policies, and architectural simplification, tracking savings over time
- Develop disaster recovery and business continuity plans, including cross-region replication, automated backups, failover testing, and detailed runbooks
- Enhance security posture by leveraging AWS Security Hub, GuardDuty, Macie, Inspector, Config, and CloudTrail; collaborate with security teams to remediate findings
- Advise application teams on AWS-native design patterns, anti-patterns, and optimal service selections for various workloads
- Develop automation scripts and operational tools in Python, Bash, and Go to streamline workflows and incident response
- Mentor junior engineers, lead architecture reviews, and contribute thought leadership to the broader cloud community within the organization
