Cloud DevOps Internship

About the role

12‑week paid internship in the Cloud DevOps department at Gordon Food Service’s Atlanta Tech Hub. Interns work alongside industry professionals, receive mentorship, professional development, and networking opportunities, and contribute to projects that impact the business.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain automation scripts using Python or Bash for deployments and server provisioning.
• Assist in managing cloud infrastructure on GCP, including Kubernetes, virtual machines, and Docker containers.
• Support CI/CD pipelines by building new stages, integrating security scanning tools, and ensuring efficient code flow from development to production.
• Help set up and manage monitoring and alerting systems, and work with the team to resolve identified issues.
• Create and update documentation for processes and tools.
• Collaborate with interns and employees across areas such as Communications, Finance/Accounting, Human Resources, IT, Marketing & Merchandising, Supply Chain, and Sales.
• Participate in networking events, mentorship program, and community stewardship activities.
• Gain hands‑on experience with AI as a core collaborator, developing intelligent systems for business impact.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a university pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with a computer specialization.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
