About the role
The Cloud, Infrastructure, DevSecOps Engineer position will focus on all aspects of design, analysis, implementation and support of systems, software or other solutions pertaining to deploying capabilities to cloud systems. The candidate will work within a team of software and IT engineers to build high performance, cloud-based solutions.
Responsibilities
- Support the development of open architectures and applications, infrastructure, and cloud platforms to ensure they are best suited for Cloud deployment and consumption.
- Support the adoption of Cloud best practices and supporting technologies to enable such capabilities as DevSecOps, Big Data/Analytics, AI, Micro-Services.
- Support the architecture, design, development, troubleshoot, and implementation of cloud solutions.
- Work closely with the Information Technology Security team to ensure the applications and solutions designed and deployed are secure and compliant.
- Effectively Interface with Customer personnel at varying organizational levels.
- Must be self-motivated and expected to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Report status on tasks and assignments.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- BA/BS in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field required.
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in a specific technology practice (Infrastructure, Network, Storage, Servers, Security, Windows, Linux, etc.) for both on premise and cloud resources.
- 2+ years network and operating system experience.
- 2+ years' experience in container management technologies like OpenShift, AKS, EKS, Rancher, Docker.
- Experience using a source code repository such as Git, BitBucket, Mercurial, or Subversion.
- Experience using a defect management system such as Jira, Bugzilla or Fogbugz.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
Preferred Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Well refined troubleshooting skills, ability to determine the root cause of a problem and identify and resolve systemic problems.
- Ability to perform technical briefings to various groups and engineers.
- Experience with several of the following tools: Gitlab, SonarQube, Nexus, Twistlock/Prisma Cloud, Docker, Kubernetes (Rancher, Openshift, K3S), Linux, AWS/Azure/GCP, and Terraform.
