About the role
This is a key position leading development teams in cloud strategy integration and execution for the Markets Business Technology organization. You will integrate highly scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud solutions, shape cloud strategies, and support innovation through Proof of Concept activities. The role focuses on developing an integration strategy for web applications in the cloud, leveraging leading-edge technologies to create resilient environments.
Responsibilities
- Engage with architects, developers, and technical support teams to deploy Cloud application services within a managed service environment.
- Work with business partners, architects, and other groups to identify technical and functional needs of systems and determine priority.
- Collaborate with teams to deliver new capabilities in business applications and/or remediate issues.
- Analyze, define, and document requirements for data, workflow, and logical processes.
- Translate business, information, and technical requirements into solution patterns that integrate across applications, systems, and platforms.
- Assess foundational services, integration services, cloud operations, and management capabilities.
- Champion and communicate approaches with business leaders and teams to develop structured outcomes for proof of fit/proof of concept.
- Establish direction for application development approaches, including tools, processes, and frameworks.
- Support preparation of documentation, including application designs, assessments, security management, implementation plans, and post-implementation documentation.
- Lead by example in customer satisfaction, collaboration, teamwork, and reliability.
- Participate in establishing local standards, patterns, and practices for cloud integration, influencing broader organizational standards.
- Spearhead the use of innovative technology and best practices for new product and solution development initiatives.
- Participate in IT strategy development, including environmental analysis, opportunity identification, business cases, and portfolio development.
- Plan and engineer an organization’s systems infrastructure, including hardware and software implementation and design.
- Monitor system performance and lead/direct the work of others.
Requirements
- Master’s degree from an accredited college or university with specialization in an Information Technology field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Minimum eight years of broad technical experience in information technology and management information systems, including managing highly complex IT efforts.
- Eight years of software design and development experience, with at least 2+ years focused on cloud architecture, design, and implementation.
- 2+ years of experience in Agile methodologies.
- 2+ years of experience deploying Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform solutions.
- 2+ years of experience deploying cloud-based and hybrid cloud-based solutions.
- Excellent oral and written communication, presentation, leadership, interpersonal, collaborative, organizational, planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated experience as part of a high-velocity DevOps team.
- Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and container management using OCP, Kubernetes, and Docker.
- Highly proficient in Java Fullstack Engineering and Cloud technology platforms.
- Expertise in Cloud-native Architecture: Well-Architected Framework, 12-Factor App, Cloud Reference Architectures, Cloud Service Models, Microservices, Serverless architecture, and Decoupled UI (AngularJS, React, single-page applications).
- Experience in Cloud Strategy: Business case development, application assessment, migration planning, and cloud operating model design.
- Knowledge of Cloud Security: Shared Security Model, Cloud Security Architecture, IAM policies/roles, WAF, OWASP Web/API, SAML, and vulnerabilities (CSP, CSRF, XSS, SQLI).
- Experience with Cloud-native Services: Optimization of applications for scalable cloud designs, containerization (Docker), container orchestration (Kubernetes), and Infrastructure as Code.
- Proficiency in cloud-native monitoring and logging (ELK, Splunk, CloudWatch).
- Experience with Application Integration Services (REST API, API gateways like MuleSoft).
- Well-versed in Agile software development practices and sprint ceremonies (Refinement, Planning, Review, Retrospectives).
- Experience with CI/CD practices, automated testing, code quality scanning, and deployments (Jenkins, Jira, Remedy).
- Demonstrated experience in mentorship and serving as a technical subject matter expert (SME) for a development team.
- Experience in the Finance industry or developing solutions for financial products is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in an Information Technology field.
- AWS Certification (Certified Developer or Solutions Architect).
Pay
$105/hr on W2.

12+ months (remote initially).
