Cloud DevOps Engineer - III

Location: San Francisco, California (Onsite)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to design, build, and maintain the infrastructure and automation for a SaaS Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) platform. This role will own the CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and platform reliability while working closely with engineering, security, and product teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, testing, deployment, and release processes.
• Manage cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible).
• Deploy, configure, and support scalable environments across development, testing, staging, and production.
• Build and maintain infrastructure for integrating multiple platforms and services via APIs.
• Develop automation scripts and tools to streamline deployment and operational workflows.
• Design and implement observability, logging, and monitoring solutions for platform health and performance.
• Provide test execution infrastructure and integrate test automation into deployment pipelines.
• Integrate automated security and compliance scanning into CI/CD pipelines.
• Work closely with engineering and security teams to build reliable deployment infrastructure.

Requirements

• 5+ years of DevOps/Cloud engineering experience, in addition to 10+ years of relevant work experience.
• Expert-level experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and containerized workflows.
• Experience building and integrating APIs for platform connectivity and automation.
• Production experience with major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Skills

• Strong proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible).
• Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Understanding of observability, logging, and monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Datadog.
• Troubleshooting skills for infrastructure and deployment issues.

Preferred Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Computer Science is preferred.
• Experience with SaaS/multi-tenant platforms at scale.
• Experience integrating multiple third-party platforms and services.
• Experience with API testing and integration patterns.
• Working knowledge of NIST 800-53 security controls and compliance requirements.
• Experience with Identity Governance & Administration (IGA) platforms (e.g., SailPoint, Okta, Saviynt).
• Experience with disaster recovery planning and testing.
• Certifications such as AWS/Azure/GCP Professional, CKA, or Terraform Associate.
