Cloud Architect Sr - E3
About the role
Oversees a company's cloud computing strategy, including cloud application design, cloud management & monitoring. Develops and implements product development strategies using agile development processes to meet business requirements. Delivers IT solutions as platform virtualization (PaaS), or as an application for customers for use as a service on demand (SaaS); or infrastructure/resources (IaaS). Analyze complex environments, design & communicate and pragmatic architectures. Oversees development of conceptual, logical or physical hardware / software designs. Works with dynamic languages such as Python, Bash, Perl, Java, Powershell, etc.
Basic Qualifications
- Substantial OOP experience building enterprise level applications with well established patterns
- Knowledge and experience developing multi-tiered or microservice applications
- Experience with at least one cloud platform (ie. AWS, Azure, Google)
- Containerization experience (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift)
- Proficiency in CI/CD tools (GitLab CI, Jenkins)
- Strong scripting experience
- Linux experience
- Active Top Secret clearance needed to apply with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI to start
Desired Skills
- Experience supporting US government agencies
- Experience using Amazon Web Services
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Terraform, CloudFormation
- Deploying and maintain Kubernetes distributions
- Familiarity with GitOps (GitLab, ArgoCD)
- Monitoring & Logging experience (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, ELK Stack)
- SDLC: Understanding the full Software Development Life Cycle
- Networking: Basic networking, security, & firewall concepts
- Security: DevSecOps principles, identity & access management
- Automation: Scripting & building automated pipelines
- Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice
Pay
Full-Time Salary Range: $110,300.00 - $204,900.00

Schedule
For Washington state applicants only: Non-represented full-time employees accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
