About the role
This is a hybrid role based in Denver, Colorado with the expectation to be in office at least 3 days a week for collaboration and connection.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the architecture of a cloud-native, multi-tenant SaaS platform, including services, APIs, data, integrations, and AI/ML capabilities.
- Identify architectural risks related to scalability, availability, security, data residency, and disaster recovery, and define platform-wide mitigation patterns.
- Establish and maintain architecture reference designs, technical standards, and reusable blueprints used across engineering teams.
- Participate in the platform’s architectural evolution through major milestones while ensuring backward compatibility and long-term technical coherence.
- Design and govern enterprise-grade identity and access management, including SSO, provisioning, authorization models, and tenant isolation.
- Embed security and compliance (SOC 2, GDPR, enterprise security controls) directly into platform and data architecture by design.
- Architect scalable, high-performance data and event-driven systems supporting multi-region, multi-tenant SaaS workloads.
- Define and apply integration patterns and onboarding standards for third-party and partner ecosystems, ensuring security, resiliency, and data sovereignty.
- Provide hands-on architectural guidance by participating in design reviews, mentoring engineers, and partnering with Product, Security, and Customer teams.
- Produce clear architecture documentation and communicate technical trade-offs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- Must have 5+ years of experience in cloud architecture or platform engineering, with significant experience designing production SaaS platforms (Azure preferred).
- Must have deep hands-on expertise with Azure services (e.g., AKS, Cosmos DB, Synapse, Service Bus, Redis, APIM, Entra ID) and cloud-native design patterns.
- Must have strong experience designing multi-tenant data architectures with tenant isolation, governance, encryption, and compliance requirements.
- Must have a solid understanding of identity, security, and authentication standards — including OIDC, OAuth 2.0, RBAC, encryption, and key management.
Qualifications
- Nice-to-have: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; advanced degree or relevant cloud certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect) preferred.

Pay
The base salary range for this role is $145,000 to $175,000. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, education, and other relevant qualifications.
