Cloud Architect
About the role
In this role, you will help transform robotics autonomous system (RAS) integration and sensor-produced data into a cloud-enabled, distributed data and decision platform aligned to warfighter needs. Enabling orchestrated software, real-time data fusion, and operational decision advantage across the fleet and partner forces. This role sits at the center of one of the Navy’s most important transitions: transitioning from platform-centric ISR to a cloud-enabled, distributed operational capability supporting maritime kill chains. You will design and implement cloud architectures that enable tactical control and advanced computer applications to operate across edge, tactical, and enterprise environments, supporting degraded comms, mosaic warfare tactical and up-echelon data operations, and real-time mission execution.

- Enable rapid DevSecOps pipelines
- Implement integrated engineering approaches for cloud development
- Ensure security across classification levels
- Collaborate with AI/ML and data teams to increase efficiency
- Support cloud deployments across environments such as AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, on-prem, tactical, and on-platform compute
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineers and stakeholders
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in cloud architecture, distributed systems, or platform engineering
