Cloud Architect Job Description

Performs software, development and testing on a forward-looking team for private cloud solutions and microservices containerization development. The Cloud Engineer participates in all phases of the Software lifecycle to include Design, Development, Integration and Test.

Required Skills

• Demonstrated experience in developing and deploying microservices to a Kubernetes cluster
• Experience in rearchitecting existing monolithic applications into microservices
• Demonstrated proficiency with Containerization
• Experience with Helm
• Experience with container technologies such as Podman, K3s
• Experience working with CNI, Virtual IP load balancers such as Calico or Multus, Kube-Vip

Desired Skills

• Experience with C++ and Java software development
• Experience deploying DevSecOps pipelines in Microsoft Azure
• Tuning a Kubernetes network

Additional Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or equivalent STEM field and at least 3 years of experience; or equivalent experience/combined education
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret level clearance which means you must be a U.S. Citizen
