About the role

The Opportunity: Everyone is trying to “harness the cloud”, but not everyone knows how. As a cloud computing application architect, you know how to create a cloud-based technical architecture that meets client needs and takes advantage of cloud capabilities. What if you could use your cloud architecture skills to improve mission critical applications and products? We need you to help us develop cloud-based solutions for some of the nation's toughest problems. This is an opportunity to use the latest cloud technologies as you look for ways to improve your client’s environment using current cloud capabilities. Using your technical experience, you’ll work with industry leaders to inform strategy and design and ensure standards are met throughout the cloud migration process. You’ll recommend tools and solutions based on your research of the current environment and knowledge of various on-premises, cloud-based, and hybrid resources. You’ll work with your team as they help the client overcome their most difficult challenges in the cloud. Additionally, you’ll grow your skills in areas like AI while developing critical systems for the defense industry.

Responsibilities

• Recommend tools and solutions based on research of the current environment and knowledge of various resources
• Help clients overcome their most difficult challenges in the cloud
• Grow skills in areas like AI
• Develop critical systems for the defense industry

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience with cloud architecture
• 2+ years of experience designing, developing, operationalizing, and maintaining systems in an enterprise-scale secure environment
• 2+ years of experience with AWS, Azure, OCI, or GCP
• Experience with scripting tools such as Ansible, PowerShell, Bash, or Python
• Experience with IaC such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK
• Secret clearance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of experience with Cloud Development in lieu of a degree
• Top Secret clearance
• DoD 8570 or 8140 IAT Level II Baseline Certification within 30 days of hire date

Pay

The projected compensation range for this position is $62,000.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD).

Schedule

Remote: If this position is listed as remote, there may still be occasions when you are required to work in person at a Booz Allen or customer facility. Hybrid: If this position is listed as hybrid, you will be expected to work from a Booz Allen facility frequently, in alignment with leadership expectations and the needs of the role. Onsite: If this position is listed as onsite, work will primarily be performed at a Booz Allen office or customer facility, where employees will collaborate directly with colleagues and customers as required by the role.
