Clothing Quality & Pricing Specialist (Pricer) - Pittsburgh, PA

About the role

As a Pricer at RWB Thrift, you play a pivotal role in setting prices for merchandise destined for the sales floor. In this role, you will primarily evaluate and price donated clothing and accessories, using your knowledge of brands, fabric quality, condition, and resale demand.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate the value of donated clothing and other merchandise based on brand, condition, quality, and market trends
• Evaluate apparel for authenticity, wear, fabric quality, and resale appeal
• Apply pricing strategies to merchandise effectively, ensuring competitive pricing and maximizing sales potential
• Utilize pricing tools and resources to maintain accurate and consistent pricing across all product categories
• Collaborate with Pricer Support personnel to ensure coverage and accuracy during absences
• Maintain documentation and records of pricing decisions and adjustments
• Communicate pricing strategies and updates to team members and management
• Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding pricing guidelines, customer service, and safety
• Support store initiatives and promotions through effective pricing strategies and timely execution

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail pricing or related field preferred
• Solid analytical skills with the ability to evaluate product value and market trends
• Attention to detail and accuracy in pricing assessments
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in using pricing tools and software applications
• Knowledge of thrift store operations and merchandise categories is a plus
