About the role
The Closing Team Leader plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the store, focusing on guest service and driving sales. This role requires a dynamic individual who can manage a high-paced environment and foster a positive team culture.
Responsibilities

- Understand the impact of each area on store profitability and contribute to achieving common goals through effective business partnerships.
- Lead closing routines, coach team members, and ensure workload efficiency across the store.
- Communicate and collaborate with store leadership to influence current sales performance and workload deliverables.
- Support team onboarding and learning, helping to close skill gaps through development and coaching.
- Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently, ensuring the store is ready for the next day.
- Interpret instructions, reports, and information, and accurately handle cash register operations as needed.
- Accurately scan, handle, and move merchandise, including lifting up to 44 pounds.
- Work independently and as part of a team, managing flexible schedules and maintaining a welcoming attitude towards guests and team members.
- Remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment, accomplishing multiple tasks within established timeframes.
- Interpret and respond to guest or team member issues, climb ladders, and perform other job duties as required.
Requirements
- Previous retail experience preferred, but not required.
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
- Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed.
- Effective communication skills.
- Capable of remaining focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplishing multiple tasks within established timeframes.
Qualifications
- Open to working a flexible work schedule with varying hours, days, or shifts (including nights, weekends, holidays, and other peak shopping times).
- Access all areas of the building to respond to guest or team member issues.
- Accurately handle cash register operations as needed.
- Climb up and down ladders.
- Scan, handle, and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including lifting up to 44 pounds without additional assistance from others.
- Flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends and holidays) and reliable and prompt attendance necessary.
- Capable of working in and exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing certain job duties including but not limited to Drive-Up, carryout, etc.
- Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift (shift length may vary).

- Guest service fundamentals and experience building and fostering a guest-first culture across the store.
- Driving storewide sales volume and profitability results.

Pay
The starting pay range for this position per hour is $25.25 - $27.25. The full pay range for this position per hour is $25.25 - $42.95. Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position, including labor markets and education, work experience, and certifications.
