CLOSED- SENIOR BUSINESS ANALYST - INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR

6–9 month internship in Chicago, Illinois; potential for extension and/or paid opportunities based on performance, job requirements, and candidate availability. Reports to Kofi Amua Sekyi, Client Services.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed business analyses by outlining challenges, identifying opportunities, and proposing solutions to help achieve organizational goals.
• Examine organizational data to identify underlying trends, patterns, and insights.
• Synthesize findings from data analysis and provide data-driven recommendations to upper management through written and verbal communication.
• Stay informed about industry or business trends by interacting with customers, competitors, suppliers, professional organizations, and other stakeholders.
• Create impactful presentations using tools such as PowerPoint and deliver clear, engaging presentations to various audiences.
• Foster and maintain strong interpersonal relationships with diverse teams, including Senior Management.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Training in Lean and Six Sigma is essential.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
• Currently enrolled as a graduate student in a related field such as Accounting, Business, Finance, or Information Technology.

Qualifications

• Strong presentation skills, with proficiency in using Microsoft PowerPoint to create and deliver data-driven reports.
• General proficiency in computer technology and various Microsoft Office applications.
• Expertise in systems analysis, including the ability to assess a system’s ideal state and understand how changes in conditions, operations, and the environment impact outcomes.
• Strong time management skills for efficient task prioritization and execution.
• Clear and articulate verbal communication skills, especially for conveying complex ideas effectively.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and deductive reasoning abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suites.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Product Management or Systems/Business Analysis.
• Background in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
• At least 1 year of experience in a B2B role focused on client success, technical support, or product support (B2C experience is advantageous).
• Experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
