About the role
The Medical Assistant (MA) delivers direct patient care in the clinical setting beginning with escorting the patient to the examination room, performing any treatments and procedures required by the physician, and ending with the discharging of the patient. He/she recognizes, reports, and documents clinical observations. He/she is responsible for coding the procedures correctly.
Qualifications
- Education required: High School Diploma or GED
- Licenses, Certifications and/or Registrations: Current CPR Certification. Current Medical Assistant Certification (CCMA)
- PREFERRED: Additional certifications such as Phlebotomy, EKG, etc.
