CLN Medical Assist Team Lead - HH Obstetrics & Gynecology - FT - 1st Shift

About the role

Acts as a collaborative member of the clinic team in providing continuity of and quality patient care. Assesses and provides appropriate intervention for the problems that patients and families experience related to their health care and treatment to include teaching, counseling and supporting as needed to assist provider, patient and family. Also acts as lead clinician in assistance to provider and/or as dedicated telephone assistant and also provides clinical oversight for the clinical employees of the clinic.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with the clinic team to provide high-quality patient care
• Assesses and provides appropriate intervention for patient and family needs
• Teaches, counsels, and supports patients and families as needed
• Assists providers and acts as a dedicated telephone assistant
• Provides clinical oversight for clinic employees

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certified Medical Assistant certification
• Minimum of two years clinic experience in primary care or pediatric care setting
• Phlebotomy experience preferred

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly
• Knowledge of GPMS/EMR preferred
• BLS certification required during orientation period
