Responsibilities
- Receiving patients and providing initial care under supervision
- Performing vital signs and specimen collection
- Giving injections and documenting patient charts
- Communicating clinical information to patients and others
- Maintaining clinical logs according to MMC guidelines
- Assisting other staff members as needed
- Answering phones, scheduling appointments, assembling charts
- Collecting co-pays and balances due
- Taking and forwarding messages for clinical staff
- Entering appropriate patient demographic information
Requirements
- High School Graduate or Equivalent
- Certified Medical Assistant Diploma from an accredited institution (preferred)
- Prior experience in another physician office practice (preferred)
Qualifications
Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent - required. Licensure/Certification: Certified Medical Assistant Diploma from an accredited institution - preferred. Prior Experience: Prior experience in another physician office practice - preferred.
