Epiq Counsel is partnering with a global, market-leading medical technology organization to identify a senior-level CLM Implementation Project Manager to support a high-impact enterprise initiative.
About the role
This 40-hour per week role will play a central part in a large-scale contract lifecycle management (CLM) implementation tied to a complex business unit agreement migration effort. This is a high-ownership role requiring a seasoned professional who can operate independently, bring a clear point of view, and drive execution across a sophisticated, cross-functional environment.
Responsibilities
- Own and drive execution of a CLM implementation, ensuring alignment across business, legal, IT, and vendor stakeholders.
- Serve as the primary connector and translator between technical teams, business stakeholders, and external partners.
- Lead requirements gathering and solution design, translating business needs into scalable workflows and system configurations.
- Guide the build and refinement of contract workflows, including approvals, obligations tracking, consent, and licensing structures.
- Partner closely with the CLM vendor to drive configuration, troubleshoot challenges, and ensure delivery against milestones.
- Oversee data-driven workstreams, including contract data migration, validation, and quality assurance.
- Proactively identify process gaps and optimization opportunities, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Facilitate clear, proactive communication across the project team, ensuring alignment and momentum at all stages.
- Provide both strategic direction and hands-on execution, stepping in wherever needed to move priorities forward.
- Support and contextualize system integrations (e.g., ERP, procurement, compliance tools), translating technical concepts into business impact.
Requirements
- 10+ years of relevant experience in CLM implementation, legal operations, or enterprise system project management, with demonstrated ownership of complex, cross-functional implementations.
- Proven track record of leading or significantly owning end-to-end CLM implementations in enterprise environments.
- Deep experience in workflow design, process mapping, and system configuration within CLM or similar platforms.
- Ability to independently drive initiatives, balancing strategic oversight with detailed execution.
- Strong experience working across legal, IT, compliance, and external vendors in highly collaborative settings.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights.
- Working knowledge of integrated systems environments (ERP, procurement, compliance tools) and their interaction with CLM platforms.
- Highly detail-oriented with a strong data mindset, including experience supporting large-scale data efforts.
- Must be interested in practicing in an alternative, fixed-term legal services model.
Qualifications
- Experience with Malbek CLM.
- Background in medical device, life sciences, or other highly regulated industries.
- Familiarity with HCP contracting, clinical trial agreements, and compliance-driven workflows.
- Experience supporting divestitures, carve-outs, or large-scale agreement transfers.
