About the role

We are searching for a Clipper Tie Operator based in Hebron, OH, reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor. This role involves operating a clip gun, loading magazines, clipping coil loops together, wire tie operations, and packaging.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to Atkore Safety / Life Saving Rules.
  • Demonstrate Core Values through regular attendance and punctuality.
  • Clip coil loops together using an air-operated clip gun.
  • Change magazines or feed strips of clips into clip guns.
  • Move baskets or coils into position.
  • Remove tie wires (WIP-type products).
  • Align barbs or loops into the proper position prior to clipping.
  • Remove extra clips.
  • Perform daily cleaning of the work area.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • 1+ years of related experience preferred.
  • Lean concept sustainment and problem-solving skills.
  • Safety action-oriented mindset.
  • Flexibility in shift schedule, including overtime and weekends.
  • Must have an outgoing positive attitude, be a team player, and possess a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally team lift more than 50 pounds.
  • Ability to push and pull extremely heavy loads using leverage tools.

Skills

Within 3 months, you will:

  • Set up the work area.
  • Complete minor mechanical repairs or adjustments.
  • Load magazines.
  • Assist roll formers with minor adjustments and material changes.

Pay

As of the date of this posting, the pay range for this position starts at $20.81/hr with a shift differential of $1.00/hr, totaling $21.54/hr. Placement in the range depends on competencies, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business needs. Additional compensation may include overtime, bonuses, commissions, stock, and other incentives.

Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM.
