Clipper Tie Operator 1st Shift (Monday - Friday 6:00am - 4:00pm) $20.81/hr.

Responsibilities

• Adherence to Atkore Safety / Life Saving Rules is paramount.
• Demonstrate Core Values.
• Regular attendance and punctuality.
• Claips coil loops together using an air-operated clip gun.
• Change magazines or feeds strips of clips into clip guns.
• Moving baskets or coils into position.
• Removes tie wires (WIP-type products).
• Aligns barbs or loops into the proper position prior to clipping.
• Removes extra clips.
• Daily cleaning of the work area.

Requirements

• A high school diploma/GED is preferred.
• One to two years of related experience is preferred.
• Learns and sustains Lean concepts and problem-solving skills.
• Is safety action oriented.
• Flexible to shift schedule including overtime and weekends.
• Has an outgoing positive attitude, is a team player, and has a strong work ethic.
• Can regularly lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally team lift more than 50 pounds.
• Can push and pull extremely heavy loads using leverage tools.

Qualifications

• Must be able to set up the work area within three months.
• Must be able to complete minor mechanical repairs or adjustments within three months.
• Must be able to load magazines within three months.
• Must be able to assist roll formers with minor adjustments and material changes within three months.
