About the role

The purpose of Long-Term Substitute Teacher position is to manage student learning in accordance with the goals and directives of the schools and staff.

Responsibilities

• Manage student learning in accordance with the goals and directives of the schools and staff.
• Implement curriculum and lesson plans as directed.
• Assist in maintaining a safe and positive learning environment.
• Participate in professional development activities as required.

Requirements

• Valid New York State teaching certificate or emergency certification.
• Experience working with children in an educational setting preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education or related field.
• At least one year of teaching experience preferred.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Effective time management and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of current educational trends and best practices.
