About the Role

The Clinician, meeting the requirements of a Mental Health Professional, will provide intensive therapeutic services to youth and their families. Strengths-based practices, trauma-informed, and culturally competent care are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive assessments of consumers.
• Use the strengths-based approach to identify problems and design an Individualized Treatment Plan (ITP) with appropriate and reasonable goals.
• Identify behavioral goals in measurable terms and select appropriate interventions for inclusion in the ITP.
• Review, analyze, and interpret data to determine any changes to goals and objectives included in the ITP.
• Provide individual, family, and group therapy.
• Assist with crisis stabilization.
• Submit monthly reports summarizing program status and outcomes.
• Ensure outcome data is collected, reported, and compiled accurately and in a timely manner.
• Implement evidence-based practices with fidelity.
• Review consumer files to assure regulatory and funding standards are met and adhered to.
• Serve as a liaison to adults across all areas in the child's life.
• Facilitate and implement discharge planning.
• Meet service productivity expectations.
• Complete all paperwork within specified time frames.
• Maintain an understanding of agency policies and procedures.
• Participate in and adhere to an Individualized Training Plan.
• Attend and participate in supervision in accordance with regulatory standards.
• Adhere to the agency's Code of Ethics and comply with State Mental Health Code.
• Assure continuous quality assurance and program development.
• Comply with agency standards for service delivery.
• Maintain consumer confidentiality.

Requirements

• Has a graduate degree from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the United States Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) in a generally recognized clinical discipline that includes a clinical practicum.
• OR has an equivalent degree from a foreign college or university evaluated by the Association of International Credential Evaluators, Inc. (AICE) or the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES).
• OR is licensed in a generally recognized clinical discipline that includes mental health clinical experience.
• Knowledge of community resources, evidence-based practices, and trauma-informed and culturally competent care preferred.
• Criminal, Child Abuse, and FBI clearance required.
• Bilingual preferred.
