About the Role

Sycamores provides a spectrum of equitable mental health services through various programs to multicultural populations of all acuities, focusing primarily on low-income, high at-risk youth. The Clinician is a key member of our behavior services team, responsible for meeting clinical benchmarks for quality care and productivity requirements, ensuring proper care in accordance with program contracts, and developing and providing direct behavioral health services to consumers.

The Clinician will deliver individual, family, and group therapy, crisis intervention, and advocacy services tailored to consumers’ specific therapeutic needs. Services may be provided in clinic settings, residential sites, schools, and/or consumers’ homes, depending on the program.

Responsibilities

  • Meet clinical benchmarks for quality care and productivity requirements.
  • Provide direct behavioral health services in accordance with program contracts.
  • Deliver individual, family, and group therapy.
  • Perform crisis intervention and advocacy services.
  • Travel regularly and flexibly between various client locations.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in a related field (required for Clinician I and II; recent graduates accepted for Clinician New Graduate role).
  • Fluent in English (required).
  • Personal, reliable vehicle for travel to various locations.
  • Valid California driver’s license.
  • Acceptable driving record as determined by Agency policy.
  • Proof of auto insurance meeting minimum coverage requirements.

Qualifications by Level

Clinician New Graduate

  • Recent graduate with a Master’s degree.
  • Must register with the Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) in California as MFT, MSW, APCC, or Psy.D/Ph.D and receive a registration number within 4 months of hire.
  • DMH experience preferred.

Clinician I

  • Registered MFT, MSW, APCC, or Psy.D/Ph.D Intern in California.
  • Valid intern number registered with the state and in good standing (must maintain as a condition of employment).
  • DMH experience preferred.

Clinician II

  • Licensed in California as LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, or Psy.D/Ph.D (required).
  • Must maintain relevant licensure as a condition of employment.
  • 2+ years of successful licensure and experience preferred.
  • DMH experience preferred.

Pay

  • Clinician New Graduate: $71,000 - $76,325 per year (full-time). Starting pay based on previous work experience and educational background.
  • Clinician I: $71,000 - $76,325 per year (full-time). Starting pay based on previous work experience and educational background.
  • Clinician II: $81,000 - $87,075 per year (full-time). Starting pay based on previous work experience and educational background.
