About the role

Cascade Community Healthcare (CCH) has been providing treatment services to Lewis County and surrounding areas for more than 50 years. Our mission is to provide our clients with compassionate and encouraging counseling leading to a renewed sense of hope and the ability to make positive changes and live more satisfying lives. Cascade currently has six treatment locations in Lewis County. We are looking for a Clinician I to join our Adult Services team! This position is responsible for delivery of clinical services to identified clients.

Responsibilities

  • Provides treatment planning for assigned clients; completes treatment plans within expected timeframe set by the agency.
  • Completes all specialist consultations within the expected timeframe set forth by the agency.
  • Reviews treatment plan goals and short-term objectives with the client at each individual treatment session, tracks progress towards meeting those goals, and records client responses in client’s own words in the clinical record.
  • Works with client to develop an interim plan for working towards achievement of goals both outside of the session and at the next scheduled session and records them in the progress notes.
  • Provides individual, family, group therapy, and case management as appropriate under the supervision of a Mental Health Professional.
  • Meets with client in accordance with expectations outlined in the treatment plan.
  • Ensures proper level of services by reviewing client needs and adjusting treatment plan accordingly to maintain proper utilization of services as evidenced by over/under utilization reports.
  • Coordinates treatment services with primary care providers and other relevant agencies; significant others involved in the client’s life.
  • Outlines significance of working with primary care, other relevant agencies, and significant others at the time of development of the treatment plan evidenced by treatment plans and progress notes and release of information.
  • Periodically encourages client to include the above at various points of treatment when medically necessary or appropriate as evidence in treatment plans and progress notes.
  • Meets direct service productivity requirements as assigned by the Clinical Manager of Adult Services.
  • Maintains records and reports in accordance with agency policies and procedures.
  • Completes progress notes and data verification to be available to MIS according to agency policy and procedure.
  • Completes treatment plans, crisis plans (as applicable), reauthorization of services, progress notes according to agency policy and procedure.
  • Completes other forms as required by agency policy and procedure.
  • Participates in supervision with a Mental Health Professional, consultation, and training at the direction of the Clinical Manager of Adult Services.
  • Meets weekly with the Clinical Manager of Adult Services for supervision and to discuss support staff needs.
  • Attends program specific staff meetings.
  • Completes all trainings as outlined on Annual Training Plan within the timeframe set forth by the agency.
  • Participates in quality improvement activities outlined by the agency.
  • Coordinates client data processing procedures; produces required reports and paperwork within timeframe set forth by agency.
  • Arranges schedule to allow time for coordination of care and return phone calls within one business day (i.e., answer questions for staff related to client data, communication to support integrated care, follow up with client/family, etc.).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in counseling or the social sciences required.
  • Washington State Registered Agency Affiliated Counselor (RAAC) credential required, or eligibility to obtain.
  • Must be able to pass WA State Patrol background check.
  • A national background check may be required if have not lived in WA state consecutively the last three years.
  • Must comply with agency policies and procedures.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must be able to operate a motor vehicle.
  • Must be able to gain access to all types of buildings and residences regardless of the structures’ handicapped accessibility or lack thereof.
  • Must maintain current phone number and mailing address on file with the human resources office.

Pay

Pay Scale: $22.04 – $26.87 per hour, depending on experience.

Schedule

Day Shift, Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm.

  • 401(k) available after 6 months of employment; Cascade contributes 5% of gross earnings monthly (no match required).
  • Supervision hours toward licensure provided at no charge.
  • Cascade reimburses the cost of Department of Health licensure renewals and other required certifications (DEA, CPR/BLS, etc.).
