About the Role

This position combines the roles of Behavioral Consultant and Mobile Therapist, providing clinical direction, therapy, and consultation services to consumers across school, home, and community settings.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive assessments of consumers.
• Use a strengths-based approach to identify problems and design an Individualized Treatment Plan (ITP) with appropriate and reasonable goals.
• Identify behavioral goals in measurable terms and select appropriate interventions for inclusion in the ITP.
• Review, analyze, and interpret data to determine any changes to goals and objectives in the ITP.
• Direct the implementation of behavioral interventions in the ITP.
• Provide consultation to Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs) on behavioral management protocols.
• Review clinical outcomes for behavioral interventions with the youth, young adult, or parent/caregiver to assess effectiveness monthly.
• Provide individual and family therapy.
• Assist with crisis stabilization.
• Complete Progress Reviews every 90 days.
• Submit monthly reports summarizing program status and outcomes.
• Ensure outcome data is collected, reported, and compiled accurately and in a timely manner.
• Complete Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) as needed to obtain BHT services for consumers.
• Implement evidence-based practices with fidelity.
• Review consumer files to ensure regulatory and funding standards are met and adhered to.
• Perform home and community visits.
• Serve as a liaison to adults across all areas in the child’s life.
• Facilitate and implement discharge planning.
• Meet service productivity expectations.
• Complete all paperwork within specified time frames.
• Maintain an understanding of agency policies and procedures.
• Participate in and adhere to an Individualized Training Plan.
• Attend and participate in supervision in accordance with regulatory standards.
• Adhere to the agency’s Code of Ethics and comply with the State Mental Health Code.
• Attend trainings as required by the agency.
• Ensure continuous quality assurance and program development.
• Comply with agency standards for service delivery.
• Maintain consumer confidentiality.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

To provide individual services through mobile therapy, candidates must meet one of the following:

• Be licensed in Pennsylvania as a psychologist, professional counselor, marriage and family therapist, or clinical social worker.
• Be licensed in Pennsylvania as a social worker or behavior specialist and hold a graduate degree with a clinical or mental health direct service practicum from an accredited institution.
• Have a minimum of 1 year of full-time experience in providing mental health direct services to children, youth, or young adults, and a graduate degree with at least nine credits specific to clinical practice in psychology, social work, or counseling.
• Have completed a clinical or mental health direct service practicum and hold a graduate degree with at least nine graduate-level credits specific to clinical practice in psychology, social work, education, counseling, or a related field.

To provide behavior consultation services, candidates must meet one of the following:

• Be licensed in Pennsylvania as a Behavioral Specialist.
• Hold certification as a BCBA or other graduate-level certification in behavior analysis accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies or the American National Standards Institute.
• Hold a graduate degree in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) from an accredited institution.
• Have a minimum of 1 year of full-time experience in providing mental health direct services to children, youth, or young adults, and a graduate degree in psychology, social work, education, or counseling.
• Have completed a clinical or mental health direct service practicum and hold a graduate degree in psychology, social work, education, counseling, or a related field.
• For services to children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), be licensed in Pennsylvania as a psychologist, professional counselor, marriage and family therapist, clinical social worker, social worker, behavioral specialist, certified registered nurse practitioner, or a professional with a scope of practice that includes overseeing the provision of ABA services.

Knowledge of community resources, evidence-based practices, and trauma-informed and culturally competent care is preferred.
