Job Summary
The Clinician provides clinical and case management services, along with community reintegration planning, under the supervision of the Clinical Director. This role involves outreach and acting as a liaison between members and community connections.
Program/Department Responsibilities
- Complete intake screening (suicide/safety assessment) for each new intake to the program.
- Provide weekly individual therapy and complete required DYS clinical progress notes.
- Facilitate group therapy sessions several times a week.
- Provide family therapy as needed.
- Develop and maintain individual service plans for each member, conducting monthly treatment plan reviews.
- Schedule and facilitate member treatment meetings to review progress.
- Act as a liaison between youth, families, and DYS.
- Assess and monitor clients on suicide watch in collaboration with the Clinical Director.
- Research and develop connections to community resources, including employment opportunities, educational programs, volunteer centers, and recreational activities.
- Mentor Youth Care Advocates (YCAs) in areas such as mental health, life skills, and asset coaching.
- Audit and update program records and member files.
- Attend all required trainings.
- Report suspected child abuse to the Clinical Director.
- Support other Social Service Branch programs as directed.
- Assist with volunteer and internship programs as necessary.
- Adhere to fiscal policies regarding petty cash, vouchers, and purchase orders.
- Ensure the implementation of the DYS strategic plan as indicated.
Facility Responsibility
- Ensure the highest level of cleanliness on the Unit.
Interdivisional/Community/Volunteer Responsibilities
- Participate in the Y’s Annual Strong Kids Campaign by completing all required tasks.
- Offer support in crisis situations to all Old Colony Y programs.

Education/Experience/Physical Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
- Must have LCSW or LMHC, or be eligible for LMHC at time of hire.
- Work a flexible schedule.
- Maintain the security of program and clients.
- Must be able to walk, sit, stand during the work day.
Pay
$60,000-$73,000
