About the Role
Pine Belt Mental Healthcare Resources (PBMHR) has an opening for an office-based Clinician to provide services at a mental health center in Richton, MS. This position works with adults diagnosed with serious mental illness. The role is full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with no on-call duties.
For 50 years, Pine Belt Mental Healthcare Resources has served individuals throughout the Pine Belt region, offering an extensive continuum of care to enable adults with serious mental illnesses, children with serious emotional disturbances, and individuals with addiction or developmental disabilities to live, work, learn, and participate fully in their communities. The service area includes eighteen counties: Amite, Franklin, Forrest, Hancock, Harrison, Jones, Lamar, Lawrence, Covington, Greene, Jeff Davis, Marion, Pearl River, Perry, Pike, Stone, Walthall, and Wayne.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in a behavioral health field required
- Clinical license preferred
- Must be able to obtain a Clinical license or DMH Therapist certification within 90 days of hire
- Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
- Behavioral health experience preferred
- Behavioral health internship required
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently
Responsibilities
- Asks appropriate questions as required by clinical intake documentation to elicit information
- Assists consumers in establishing realistic therapeutic goals appropriate to the problems presented
- Participates in team staffings and functions as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team
- Provides clinical therapy services and emergency services to consumers and their families
- Provides written records of consumer’s progress through the therapeutic process
- Uses information obtained in clinical observations to suggest diagnosis and severity of condition
Schedule
Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
