Summary
Accountable for providing Clinical services within the School Based Health Center.Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group therapy within the school system to children who are registered with the SBHC
- Provide education and training to school staff around trauma informed care.
- Cookordination with school social worker, nursing staff and other school administrators to ensure proper support is being offered to the children.
- Develop psychosocial assessments through clinical interviews with assigned clients and families which include consideration of developmental, social and/or cultural, substance abuse, psychological, environmental and medical issues.
- Develop treatment plans including measurable treatment objectives.
- Provide clinical treatment services in form of triage, crisis intervention, individual, group and/or family therapy, screening and planning.
- Advocate and develop networks of social and clinical services to assist clients in meeting identified needs.
- Maintain treatment records in accordance with agency and regulatory bodies.
- Complete all required documentation related to client treatment in accordance with established procedures
- Complete reports in accordance with agency and accrediting bodies.
- Consult and collaborate with other behavioral health providers to improve delivery of services to clients.
- Perform related duties as required.
Schedule
Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PMEducation &/Or Experience
- Master’s Degree in Behavioral Health discipline from an Accredited University
- Licensure in the State of Connecticut as a Clinical Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist, Psychologist, Substance Abuse Counselor
