About the role

The Clinical Workforce Educator (Behavioral Health) is responsible for providing support, guidance, and accountability to clinical staff as they support our patients as they work towards their health goals. This role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary care team, delivering evidence-based health coaching and patient support, and facilitating wellness programs. The coach plays a vital role in improving the quality of patient care through the efficient use of resources and enhancing outcomes. Clinical Workforce Educator will support the growth and capacity development of staff by providing coaching, training, and professional development to staff in the Casa Esperanza community.

Qualifications

  • Education & Licensure:

    • Master’s degree in education, Social Work, Public Health, or a related field (preferred).
    • Active licensure required (LMHC/LICSW).
  • Experience:

    • 3–5 years of experience in substance use treatment.
    • At least 2 years of supervisory and training experience.
    • Background in training, mentoring, coaching, or program administration (preferred).
    • Experience developing trainings and adapting curricula using evidence-based approaches.
    • Experience working with individuals with co-occurring disorders, trauma, traumatic brain injury (TBI), learning disabilities, and/or homelessness (preferred).
    • Experience in Expressive Therapies (e.g., visual arts, theater, movement/dance, music) strongly preferred.
  • Skills & Competencies:

    • Strong oral and written communication skills.
    • Ability to train staff across a variety of learning needs.
    • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage tasks in a time-sensitive environment.
    • Self-directed, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
    • Comfortable using data to inform and improve direct care practices.
    • Flexible to work non-traditional hours, including some evenings and occasional weekends.
    • Bilingual in Spanish and English (preferred).
    • Familiarity with cultural, social, economic, health, and substance use factors impacting workforce development.

Other Requirements

  • Must obtain Safety Care certification within 3 months of hire.

Schedule

  • Work Type: hybrid, up to 50% in person.

  • Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, flexible hours, including some evenings and occasional weekends.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
