Emplify Health is a mission-driven organization committed to providing high-quality patient care. This role serves as a proactive educator and consultant within the Value Analysis Team (VAT), focusing on supply chain expense management and ensuring appropriate quality products for patient care.
Responsibilities
- Identify opportunities to reduce cost while sustaining or improving patient outcomes and provider satisfaction.
- Research, offer expert advice, and educate on new product requests under VAT direction.
- Coordinate and educate for new product evaluations/trials, ensuring high-quality, efficient, cost-effective products are chosen using appropriate evaluation criteria.
- Support the proper use of selected products, document evaluation outcomes, and consult with necessary personnel.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships, communicate effectively, and collaborate with various departments and stakeholders.
- Manage product issues, handle backorders, and coordinate product recalls to ensure continuity of care.
- Facilitate supply expense management and improve processes supporting quality patient care.
- Collect, analyze, and present data in a non-biased, objective manner, assisting with ERP data maintenance and product conversion reviews.
- Promote and educate on value analysis processes to support best patient care costs.
- Participate in cross-departmental and institutional teams, councils, and work groups, facilitating communication and reducing product variability.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in Business Administration or healthcare-related field.
- 5-7 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in healthcare.
- 1 year experience in a decision-making position in an area heavily utilizing clinical and physician preference supplies.
- Previous experience in process improvement projects, data collection, and analysis.
- 1 year experience in Lawson ERP system and EPIC clinical systems.
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, able to interpret contract terms, utilization data, and outcome metrics.

Pay
$33.50/hour, with potential for higher pay based on relevant work experience.
Schedule
Full-time, 1.0 FTE - 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday. Eligible for a hybrid work model after adequate training.
