The Clinical Trials Coordinator will play a crucial role in the design, execution, and management of clinical trials, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and sponsor requirements.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, pre-screen and enroll study participants
- Collect initial pre-screening health and demographic information
- Screen prospective participants for eligibility
- Coordinate participant tests and procedures
- Conduct informed consent process
- Obtain appropriate signatures and dates on forms
- Perform Quality Control (QC) checks on all trials
- Collect and ensure timely completion of Case Report Forms
- Maintain study timelines and report adverse and serious adverse events
- Maintain adequate inventory of study supplies
- Audit research records and source documentation
- Identify potential problems and inconsistencies in documentation
- Ensure clinical notes adhere to protocol requirements
- Verify consistency of trial data with participant clinical notes
- Assist in writing and editing NIH grants and research protocols
- Assist with day-to-day clinical administrative tasks
- Communicate with sponsor, research participants, Director, and PI
- Prepare and submit closeout documents to applicable Federal agencies and the sponsoring agency
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in clinical field or health sciences
- At least 2 years of experience working in a Phase I/II/III sponsored clinical trial
- Experience working in a medical center or private practice (Opioid Use Disorder or Alzheimer’s study experience is a plus)
- Experience with REDCap and VivaVault
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to interact effectively with study participants from diverse backgrounds
- Student mentality, strong listening, organizational, multi-tasking, and interpersonal skills
- Up to 10% travel
