Clinical Trainer (BCBA)
About the role
The Clinical Trainer at Soar Autism Center is responsible for supporting new trainees (Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analysts - BTs and Registered Behavior Technicians - RBTs) in their growth and development. This role involves providing supervision, conducting competency evaluations, and hosting training sessions to ensure adherence to the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM) and other evidence-based practices.
Responsibilities
- Support new trainees (BT/RBT) growth and development at one to two local centers after completing one week of centralized training
- Support initial and ongoing RBT competency evaluations for new and existing RBTs
- Support 3-4 case supervisors as they grow their clinical and decision-making skills
- Provide weekly hours of billable supervision, focusing on supervision of trainees during their first 6 weeks at Soar, and helping case supervisors prepare for the BCBA exam
- Host weekly group training and discussion sessions for new trainees at their home center
- Build trainees' skill sets in ESDM practices and ABA strategies, including joint activity routines, responding to challenging behavior, data collection/documentation, and evidence-based teaching strategies
- Complete monthly STNH ESDM Fidelity Checks for RBTs
- Host a section of the MDC bi-weekly to monthly that communicates with BCBAs what is needed from them to ensure adherence to supervision requirements
- Organize and host quarterly, center-level continuing education events for BCBAs and RBTs
- Collaborate with the Partner Clinician and Center Operations Director regarding RBT performance and needed performance improvement initiatives
- Achieve ESDM certification within 2 years of starting your role as a Clinical Trainer
Requirements
Minimum of a master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education, or a related field. LBA in Arizona (for AZ only) preferred. Background in child development, early childhood education, or a related field. 3 or more years of experience as Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or ABA early intervention experience. Strong desire to work with clients ages 2-6. Clear professional communication, both verbally and in writing. Fluency in navigating devices such as computers and tablets. Skills

Benefits
Compensation: Base pay of $105,500.00 - $115,500.00/year, annual performance bonus potential up to $5,000, and up to $10,000 sign-on bonus.
