About the Role

The Clinical Trainee Therapist position will support anti-oppressive/anti-racist practice and trauma-responsive practice in all aspects of their interactions with staff, community, and company stakeholders. This role involves administrative and operational support of program staff working on-site and in the community to address socioeconomic and health disparities.

Comfort and proven experience working with staff and clients across a range of identities, including age, developmental and acquired disabilities, religion, spirituality, ethnicity, race, socio-economic status, sexual orientation, relationship structure, and indigenous backgrounds, is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home services and use telehealth as needed
• Provide a minimum of 15-20 billable hours per week for part-time roles
• Carry a caseload of 10-12 ongoing clients; manage 2-4 DAs (direct assessments) per week
• Facilitate community-based groups
• Conduct diagnostic assessments and de-westernized therapy
• Develop and implement treatment plans
• Provide ongoing individual psychotherapy to children, adolescents, adults, and families at our office, in-home, and/or virtually
• Deliver culturally sensitive, advocacy-oriented, and client-centered services
• Encourage client retention and regular communication
• Coordinate services with other healthcare providers to ensure clients receive adequate care
• Complete progress notes and other required documentation of services
• Participate in department clinical supervision, monthly group training sessions, and other meetings
• Ensure compliance with DHS and insurance regulations
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

• Master’s degree, LGSW, LICSW, MA (LPCC), MA (LMFT), or LP licensure/provisional status
• Experience or strong interest in working with marginalized communities and addressing social justice issues in behavioral healthcare
• Ability to provide culturally responsive and trauma-informed care
• Comfort working in diverse environments, including in-home, office, and telehealth settings

Work Environment
