Clinical Trainee (Family Life OMH Clinic) (Coon Rapids, MN)
About the role
People Incorporated Mental Health Services is seeking a Clinical Trainee to join the teams at our Family Life Mental Health Clinic. This position provides an array of services using evidence-based practices that support client recovery, and facilitate safe, secure, and therapeutic interventions.
Responsibilities
- Develop therapeutic alliances with clients.
- Conduct diagnostic and comprehensive assessments.
- Create individualized treatment plans and deliver daily interventions.
- Communicate professionally through documentation and interactions with internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide clinical supervision organizationally for staff working towards clinical licensure.
- Develop and implement client mental health services, ensuring documentation standards are met.
- Address emergency situations with sound decision-making, discretion, and problem-solving skills.
- Provide program and/or divisional clinical supervision to increase staff knowledge and skills.
- Supervise assigned staff and interns, including counsel, evaluation of service delivery, and approval/cosigning of treatment plans and documentation.
- Actively participate in mental health services, providing leadership and sharing clinical expertise.
- Partner with clinical staff to ensure compliance with license requirements and required training.
- Collaborate with program leadership to maintain consistency of clinical direction.
- Provide therapy in area of specialization, as required.
- Assist in developing specialized training for other clinical staff.
- Serve as the designated program lead in the absence of the primary program manager or supervisor.
Schedule
Full-Time. Monday-Friday, regular clinic hours with clinic open until 7:00 PM. Schedule includes two evenings per week until 7:00 PM. This position may be eligible for some telehealth appointments after completion of an introductory period.

Pay
Salary varies based on licensure and qualifications. Unlicensed Clinical Trainee: $62,000 - $68,500 annually, plus a $1,000 hiring bonus for external candidates.
